    Regional Director/Senior Consultant

Metrostudy, a Hanley Wood Company, is currently seeking a Regional Director/Senior Consultant. The candidate will serve as Regional Director responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships and retention by providing exemplary, high-touch residential real estate advisory services and managing the Metrostudy Quarterly Membership Service Model.  In addition, the Regional Director is tasked with interpreting Metrostudy proprietary and secondary housing market data in order to be recognized as the residential real estate subject matter expert in their local market.

The Regional Director works closely with the Director of Business Development in the effort to recruit new client business. This individual also works directly with the Field Research Manager to provide guidance and local input into the gathering of the Metrostudy proprietary residential housing data.

Additionally, the candidate will serve as a Senior Consultant which entails compiling and analyzing housing and economic market data, traveling to visit real estate development sites (primarily residential), and contributing to the creation of custom consulting reports. These reports may include large mixed-use master planned community development, small divisions, custom lot analysis, for-sale and for-rent housing and conversion, consumer segmentation analysis, downtown adaptive reuse, market forecasting and demand modeling, and best-use strategies.  Our custom studies typically involve strategic planning, market research, and/or financial analysis within the housing industry for clients that include land developers, homebuilders, lending institutions, investors, municipalities, and school districts.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as client relationship manager and advisory service provider of the Metrostudy Quarterly Membership Service.
    • Perform meaningful analysis and written interpretation of Metrostudy proprietary and secondary housing data.
    • Monitor and analyze key economic and demographic trends and report on key real estate developments in local market area.
    • Conduct quarterly oral group presentations on local economic and housing market conditions.
    • Provide private consultative meetings with clients to discuss housing market conditions.
    • Attend and actively participate in local real estate industry events.
    • Work with Director of Business Development to recruit new business.
    • Administer Sales and Marketing support for new member clients and market study prospects.
    • Conducting in-depth market research and analysis on custom consulting projects, which may include field research (travel by car and/or air) as well as in-office, desktop research.
    • Provide conclusions on project by collecting, verifying, and analyzing property information, competitive properties, housing activity trends on starts, closings, sales, lot deliveries, sales rates, demand factors, and social, economic, environmental, and governmental characteristics, as well as interviewing those involved to turn qualitative information into quantitative.
    • Present findings and conclusions to clients in both written and oral form, with consistent follow-up to meet client needs.
    • Apply real estate analysis to help recommend development value and target market for new home communities.
    • Develop and maintain effective client relationships and identify opportunities for growth within the industry.
    • Apply understanding of business processes and technical skills to successful completion of project assignments.
    • Ensure timely completion of assigned projects.

     Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience on the residential side of banking, homebuilding, real estate development or market research.
    • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills.
    • Strong written, oral, and presentation communication abilities.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
    • Bachelor's or advanced degree in economics, real estate, business, marketing, geography or other related field.
