SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

 

Job Summary

At Hanley Wood, our project managers are critical to the success of our organization as they are responsible for facilitating the development and execution of digital and print projects from the launch meeting through to project completion.  They partner with team members to ensure that each department has ample time and correct information to complete projects on time, on budget and at the quality standards of both the client and the agency.  

 

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Project Manager with a focus on driving efficiency, bringing new ideas and being part of a growing team.

 

Primary Duties:

  • Act as senior project manager on print and digital projects associated with assigned book of business
  • Work with client services lead to understand the scope of each assigned project.
  • Consult with internal teams on projects specifications in order to estimate hours and develop client-facing budgets
  • Serve as the conduit for all project communications. Ensure that communication flow is efficient and inclusive of all pertinent parties at the appropriate times.
  • Collaboratively create schedules and work with team members to communicate individual responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Monitor the budget during the life of the project and work with team to course correct if budget is at risk of exceeding the cost agreed in the SOW.
  • Manage and coordinate project workflow by evaluating project status and collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Lead effective internal meetings.
  • Constantly look for opportunities to make project teams more efficient.
  • Partner with resource managers to obtain resources as needed to support project work.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project close-out meetings to analyze project efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • This position may have some client-facing opportunities but will primarily function behind the scenes to drive the work.

 

Experience, Skills, and Talents Required:

  • Minimum of seven years’ experience in a traffic and/or project management role, preferably with an advertising/marketing agency. At least three years of experience managing digital projects
  • Excellent listening and communication skills. Ability to quickly grasp the project objective and deliverables. Can interact with staff at all levels.
  • Skilled in managing multiple large scale, multi-faceted projects with up to 40 deliverables running simultaneously.
  • Ability to identify, mitigate and manage risks against project schedules and budgets. Can quickly modify plans and reprioritize as circumstances change.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

 

Education and Certifications Required:

B.S. or B.A. degree required
